Tiki is lame

meezergalWell, Tiki came up lame Tuesday night and he's still lame. *sob* The barn owners don't think it's anything serious, just some arthitis or perhaps a slipped stifle, but naturally I'm obsessing that it's something that'll put him out of commission forever. I'm having the vet out ASAP.
I can't tell you how terrible I feel. I love that horse to pieces, and seeing him off is killing me. We gave him some bute (horse aspirin) and we'll see if that helps him any. I put him back on the loading dose of MSM and may put him back on the higher dose of Corta Flx too.
Hopefully, it's nothing serious. If you have some spare good thoughts/vibes/prayers, I'd appreciate them. Tiki has been there for me through so much stuff with my dad. He's always happy to see me, he's a fount of completely unconditional love, he's a marvelous escape when I need to get away--both mentally and physically. I didn't realize how much I depend on him till now or how devastated I would be if anything happened to him.
This has been a shitty week anyhow; lots of shit with the family. I so wanted to get away for even an hour, concentrate totally on something where no one can touch me, and my poor baby is lame...
