Things that annoy me

Well, Tiki's CUSTOM MADE Stubben doesn't fit him. I think I said that already. So Sue, the official saddle fitter for Stubben in this area, came out to the barn to fit him again tonight.

She can really be FUCKING irritating!

She kept saying, "Oh, he's so DIFFERENT from when I saw him last!" Well, duh. I can't help that. He was running with Ronald Cheska's broodmare band for two months while I was recovering from my car accident. This one mare was a bitch and must have kept him from the food. I mean, she came after me every time I went to catch Tiki in the field--she did NOT like interlopers in HER pasture!

So yeah, he lost weight. He's put on a lot at the new barn. Bonnie still wants to fatten him up. Wisconsin Equine is coming out to assess his back and give me feeding suggestions as well. He'll get back to fat and sassy. So shut the fuck up, Sue, and tell me what I need to do as far as saddles go. The Bates with changeable gullet didn't fit him, and I am NOT buying it to use with a wither riser pad per your suggestion. Hell, I don't know if it'll fit me, and it certainly didn't fit my horse--using a pad with it is like putting a corn pad on your own foot--you need to get shoes that FIT.

I was not implying that you're a lousy saddle fitter, Sue, by telling you we need to refit Tiki--I want us to work together to find the right saddle for him!

I needed to get that out...

Off to watch "Down With Love" again! After twice in the theater and twice on vid, I just never tire of that movie...
