Jul. 26th, 2007 09:17 pmNow that I'm calmer, I can say just how glad I am that Sol is all right. The vet really did frighten me, saying I had to "prepare [myself] for the worst" and that "it might come back and grow slowly, or it might come back and be very aggressive", "we may have to think about what is best for him, which might be putting him down", etcetera, so it's a tremendous relief to know it's benign.
Evy, his adopted tortoiseshell sister, was probably the smartest of us all. She knew by Sunday morning things were all right--she was on a chair when he walked by and jumped down on top of him to slap him around a little. Can't have him getting above himself and getting all the attention! She had left him alone when his mouth was hurting, so she knew he was on the road to recovery.
Thanks again, everyone!
