Unhappy Monday

First, ENORMOUS thank you's to everyone who sent me good luck wishes on Lexie. Unfortunately, her X-rays came back showing a chip on her left front coffin bone (a bone in the foot) and that eliminates her as a prospective show/riding horse for me. I'm still sad about it--I liked her a lot. :(

Monday night wasn't much better. I had a bad allergic reaction to a sample of an "all-natural" shaving cream. I tried it out and within a few moments, my legs were covered in large, itchy red wheals and I had hives all over my hands. I even had wheals on my right forearm where I had accidentally got some of the cream. My eyes and nose were running and I was so itchy I was literally sobbing in pain. My legs were actually swollen from the reaction. The really bad thing is, I've been taking Zyrtec for the pollen--I hate to think what would've happened if I hadn't been.

I keep Benadryl syrup around for emergencies like this, so I took a big dose of it and thought, "If this doesn't help in half an hour, I'm going to the emergency room!" but it did, and I took another dose before bed. My legs are better today, though still a little itchy.

I hope the rest of the week goes better!

I'm sorry to hear about Lexie's x-rays. Unfortunately a chip can cause alot of problems down the road. :( Is Tiki not a good show horse?

Yeah, when the vet said she had a chip on the left coffin, I immediately said, "No". I can't show Tiki because of the arthritis in his right stifle--he's lame off and on, and not sound for jumping. Hence my hunt for a sound horse for showing. :/

Wowzers! Glad you're ok! I guess they're serious when they say "try a little on one spot first!"

We need a spa day, where we can go get pampered and then go for laser hair removal, then never shave your long legs again! And I'd get my throat done, even when I have a beard I always shave underneath... or maybe I'd go for laser treatments that grow hair for the thumbprint on my scalp! Just don't mix up the lasers! I'd be bald and you'd look like a sasquatch!

I'm TOTALLY up for a spa day, but be sure to get the names right...I want bare legs! LOL! And I want Botox around my eyes, too, so I'll look younger! :D

Thank you. *hug* After getting closer to expiring than I care to think about--if I'd had an Epipen, I'd have used it--my week HAD to get better! :) No kidding, I really was sick. I'm glad I'd been taking the Zyrtec.

Have you set the date for the wedding yet?? :)
