I hate Mondays!

I was late to work. I overslept because dad woke me twice in the night to be repositioned (for those who don't know, my dad is a quadriplegic and pretty helpless). Then, the freeway on-ramp was crowded and it took FOREVER to get on. People were driving like jackasses, too, of course. My boss was really cool about things, but I HATE being late. No time to make a lunch, so I went to Panera and had chicken salad and soup. Then butter pecan with pralines at Cold Stone Creamery.
The weekend was ok, mostly...
Saturday, I went to Northbrook Court to spend the $75 (!) Sephora gift card my darling cybersister Wendy sent me for my birthday. I had a makeover that I actually liked, for a change, and I came away with a great haul. Fresh Violet-Moss soap, Urban Decay eyeshadow and lipstick, Stila eyeshadow, a Benefit lipliner and a Lorac blush. After that, I checked out Neiman Marcus too because they were having an event in their cosmetics department and NM free gifts are the BEST. I bought some Nars stuff I needed anyhow, a Lancome Juicy Tube I've wanted forever, and a great red Yves St. Laurent lipstick for fall. Got a FANTASTIC gift--a nice corduroy bag filled with lots and lots of goodies! On the way home, I stopped at this tack shop in Lake Forest I've always meant to scope out. The woman who runs it is odd--one of those shopkeepers who doesn't really seem to care if she pleases you or not. Contradicts you, is sort of rude in general. She has a pretty good selection of stuff in a TINY shop, but she doesn't carry Stubben. However, she had a really good deal on halfchaps and Farrier's Formula, so I bought a pair of the chaps and a bucket of the supplement. Tiki's hooves are really bad--he needs something to get them in shape!
Sunday, I went to K-Mart to get stuff for the family and then to the grocery store. I had horrible hayfever, so I didn't really feel up to doing much else.
